So it turns out that I was just about right in the thought that the groups were not our tribes. It was a little depressin', but it was to be expected. In those high anxious situations, you really gotta' prepare yourself for the worst just in case. When it was known that we would be competin' against eachother .. that's where it got a little interestin'. We were playing for the role of being a tribe captain .. being able to pick tribes and whatnot. That was a big responsibility and being a tribe captain and having to possibly expose your #1 ally early on like that is a little troubling and scary.
I knew that I didn't want to win the competition. When the challenge started it was little funny ‘cause Stephenie and Matt got into this whole war of passing the sausage back an forth .. back and forth .. and you could cut the sexual tension with a sausage. Both of them were so high-strung and stubborn and I couldn't help but think that the two of 'em just really wanted to get eachother wet or somethin'. It was a little odd.
During the challenge the expected happened .. myself and Bobby Jon got into it. Apparently my girl Sandra had said somethin' to Aras about knowin' that him and Bobby Jon knew one another and Aras got a little annoyed and told BJ about it? Then Bobby Jon comes over to me and starts ventin' to me, in the middle of the challenge, sayin' that he wants to vote Sandra out first thing. Okay, that's great .. I told BJ to let it go for now because he wasn't in a position to even vote her out yet. He was thinkin' too far ahead. So he then took that as me brushin' him off and blew up at me. We fought for the next hour and a half. I mean, really?

After about an hour or so of everyone passing the sausage, we decided that maybe it would just be better to get in a chat, roll a dice, and declare the winner that way. At that point, Stephenie was already eliminated, so it was everyone else in the chat. We all picked a number and King of the Bastards, Lex, rolled the dice for us. When it was all said and done .. it was Matt who ended up winning. With Matt winning and going to become a tribe captain, I knew I was in a good spot. I probably talk to Matt a great deal and he has become a favorite of mine in this game. He really is a sweetheart and has a good head on his shoulders. He knows this game inside and out almost, which is always a good thing, y'know?
After everything was done with the tribe captain challenge, it was Misty, Chase, and Matt choosing the tribes. Matt kept me updated as he went into the tribe pick'em chat and let me know what was goin' on. Lex ended up throwin yet another twist! They wouldn't be pickin' their own tribe, but would be pickin' eachothers! This is crazy, ya'll. I've never experience so many curveballs in a game before. But ya'll are keeping us on our toes! So thanks for that. Matt told me that he managed to get Misty and Chase to help arrange how they wanted to sort tribes. They agreed to give eachother who they wanted. Obviously I wanted to be with Matt, but with the hope that I could have Sandra with me too. I had to have her with me!
The thing about Sandra is the girl has a big mouth. She is the perfect type of player to use as a shield during times of great need. She's my little weapon and she's a good one at that. I love her, but if it ever comes down to pickin' her or me in this game .. I'm gonna' have to choose me.

Matt continued pickin' the tribe and picked Sandra as I told him to 'cause he also liked her. I then said Sydney. Sydney is an amazin' player and she's been really great to talk to. Basically .. the plan was to make sure to have the majority of our group in our tribe. However, Chase was wantin' a few people from our group, so we had to make some sacrifices. That was fine with me. Chase was also sayin' that he wish he could have me on his tribe. The guy is a real nice, and a country boy at heart, but I don't know how much I can trust him in the long run. I don't know him well enough yet .. so we'll see what happens between him and I later on in the game.
I ended up gettin' everyone I wanted on my tribe. I got Matt, who was the captain, Sandra, Sydney, and Jay. Jay is someone I know outside the game and he's someone I feel like I could trust in this game. Havin' him on the tribe will just make things easier for me. Sandra and I then began to help Matt pick a name for the tribe and a color. Matt and I came up with black. I think black is real prominent .. it shows power, y'know? We're gonna' be powerhouses in this game, so I feel like it's only fitting. Matt and Sandra decided on Salchicha which is spanish for sausage. It has a nice, spicy sound to it! Definitely the tribe name for winners.

It was time for the challenge, and each of us had to split up into three groups of three. The object was to attack and defend in your forums as much as possible. The competition was more or less a spammin' challenge, you just had to make sure someone posted after you before you could post again. The method in our tribe was to just post as much as possible then go back after and delete any double posts we saw hangin' around. It was a perfect plan. Sydney, Aras, and Mike went the day of because Mike is headin' off somewhere and will be away and busy. That puts him in a weird position. He was askin' what the vote would be if we lost, while the majority was in a chat room; it was just very awkward. We ended up all sayin' Cochran seeing as he wasn't around and no one had spoken to him. It was just the easiest name to throw out into the wind.
Sydney, Aras, and Mike gave a good effort and a good amount of posts. Sandra, Matt, and I were Group #2 and ended up doin' alot in the competition. Sandra struggled a good bit, but Matt and I were able to pick up her slack. I was worried about Cochran, Sekou, and Jay 'cause the three of them come on at random, unpredictable times throughout the day. I didn't know if they'd all be able to be on at the same time and do the competition. But they pulled through and managed to get their stuff done. I was proud of 'em. I was proud of all of us! We managed to really do well. Alot had to with Savage messin' up his tribe's points with usin' the Chrome cheat and also the inactives on the other two tribes.
We ended up pullin' out the victory and this country girl is goin' to be safe another week. I'm really glad that I ended up surviving this first round because I am in no way done in playing this game; it's just gettin' started for me! I want to prove to everyone that I do have what it takes to go deep into this game, and with some good allies by my side. Salchicha is going to continue doin' their best in competitions and we're goin' to keep pullin' through. If we happen to lose .. well, I have an idea of who I'd like to see go. It would be between Aras and Cochran. Now, Aras is apart of this "5-person alliance" we've got goin' on: Matt, Sandra, Sydney, Aras, and myself. However, I don't trust Aras. I don't talk to him and I find him very shady; I feel like he's always up to no good or somethin'.

Hidden Immunity Idols are in this game, and when you win a challenge, you get to pick who to give the clue to from another tribe. That person will then give a clue to someone on your tribe. So you would think that givin' it to an inactive like Amanda would be fair .. because then it would be randomized as to who got the clue in return. But no, people got a lil' shady. Guess who? Aras. He starts comin' out with this whole list of pros and cons with different ways to go about givin' it out: A) we give the clue to someone from Group #2 B) We give it to Amanda or Sophie C) We give it to someone "random". When Aras said "random" .. I was thinkin' what? Why would you give it to someone random if you didn't know they'd give it back to you? it was just real shady. He then brought up Shawna.
Shawna? Why Shawna? If he wanted to suggest giving it to a random, his choice in who to give it to would have changed around a few times .. but he really made sure to cram Shawna down our throats. It became evident to me that he probably knows the girl .. why else would he be so confident that she'd give him the clue back? Heck, this option only really benefited Aras. He could get the clue and tell us a fake clue in return. I just can't get myself to trust him, ya'll. Call me paranoid, call me what you want, but this just ain't sittin' right with me. But I didn't want to be the oddball out and go against the idea. But that doesn't change anythin' .. my eye is on Aras and it will stay there until he's out of this game.
