I guess we see things differently, I think any place [except a funeral and things of that nature, of course] is the place to raise awareness. This game might be cut-throat but we are all also people that are normal and have a life outside of this game and who can help by pledging or at least knowing what's going on and then choosing to do something about it.
If the organization is shady or not, that's not my point at all, maybe they are, maybe they aren't. But the video is so viral right now that it helps get the word out there, then after that people can do their research and support in the way they want. That is all.
For the record, I can locate Uganda in a map and I have also been aware of this issue for a while but until now, with this video it has been hard to be able to do anything about it since spreading the word about things like this is hard.
Anyways like you said, this is not a debate, so we can let it be. Hopefully people here can at least educate themselves about Joseph Kony and choose to spread awareness one way or the other. Which is, in fact, the final objective.

My biggest issue with the whole Kony 2012 thing is that Kony was a world-wide, well known crimininal in 2005.
Why are people just now taking interest in him, seven years after he was indicted by the ICC? >_>

I'm probably one of the last people to know about this, this is like posted all over facebook and I'm like, "WTF is this crap?! o.0" like it looked like spam shit.
I thought about watching the video now but then, I didn't want to have nightmares of the kony guy kidnapping me.
