With everything looking good for Salchicha since the start of the game .. you kind of want to keep that momentum goin' .. you wanna' keep the train movin' .. you want to keep the morale high. But with some new things coming up and alot of speculation as to what's goin' on in this game, you start to consider .. is it smart to throw a competition?
Right now the people that would be prime candidates for vote off in the event we lost this week would be Aras, Cochran, and Sekou. Everybody else either has some connections or has proven their worth on the tribe so far. The bottom line is we just wanna' good, strong tribe .. but also people that aren't shady and make their moves obvious when they're not really with us. Aras is someone who is clearly with alot of Chorizo and makes it known day to day. He's as subtle as a brick to the face! It's crazy.
Sandra and Jay are two of the people who want to throw and get Aras out as soon as possible. Matt is someone who wants to just play it smart and Sydney is somewhere in between, just like me. I don't believe in throwin' challenges but if it's what you gotta' do .. then you gotta' do it. When the challenge rolls around, and it feels right, then I'll suggest we throw it to boot Aras and get him out of this game once n' for all. We'll see.

When we had to rank our tribe from most reliable to least reliable, I felt like this could have hinted at a swap. A swap right now? That would just be some mayhem. I, in no way, want a swap at this stage of the game. There's a majority here on Salchicha, we're running the tribe, and we have three people on the bottom - ready to go - in the event that we lose a challenge. I guess in a sense .. it's too good to be true.
If this wasn't a clever way to set up a swap, then I figured the competition would involve some posting. Each person would have to post a certain amount given how reliable they are .. an endurance, posting every few minutes. Given last week and how I stepped up with the puzzle and got us a win, I figured alot of people would put me at the top .. and I didn't really want that. I told two or three people to put me close to last so that I wouldn't be so close to the top .. just to be safe from havin' to post alot.
It turns out that when the competition was posted, each person had to post a certain amount of times, retrieve some letters, and then at the end when everyone had their letters, it unscrambled into a phrase that unlocked a board. I was smack dab in the middle of the reliability list, which was good enough for me: 35 posts. That was easy enough.

I felt that throwin' a competition .. was just a bad deal. When I saw the competition, I personally wanted to go for the win and not throw it. I think the others felt the same way, but Sandra was definitely feelin' a little reluctant about it. She held us up at a point where it could have been intentional or not .. I don't know. But in the end, we got second.
Not throwin' this competition was also a little risky. Aras is still in the game and his obvious connections with alot of Chorizo still linger. The boy is goin' around now sayin' that we should form bonds with Chorizo in the event of a swap next round. Could you be anymore obvious, Aras!?
Aras has also implied and hinted to others that he doesn't believe some of us are "true" to the 5 [myself, Matt, Sydney, Sandra, Aras] and the implications are towards myself n' Sandra. I don't trust Aras and he probably reads it off of how I talk to him or act around him. I'm not gonna' sit around and just play super fake with him. Sure, it'd be easy, but I'm avoidin' that. I'm just hopin' these tribes stick another two rounds or so, so I can get rid of Aras and Cochran .. 'cause I don't want them here.

In some other news .. I had it thought that Semhar would be leavin' the game this week but Bobby Jon goes and tells me that Gregg is leavin'. This left me a little confused, but apparently there were some bad deals made, BJ tattled, and Gregg was gonna' pay for it. That was fine for me 'cause Gregg was just another one of those people I never saw myself trusting as the game went on. So thank you for helping, BJ!
I sent a message to Chase a few days ago just to stir up a conversation. Y'know, do a little flirting and whatnot. I like Chase, but I know he's a threat and I don't trust him in this game at all. I just don't.
Bobby Jon and I were talkin' about the swap comin' up, which is more than likely next round. He was tryin' to get me to promise that I wouldn't gun for Amber and try to get her out. I could careless if he has some little girl swingin' from his nutsack in this game. She's no target of mine, but if she's coming after me, or she's coming after one of my allies .. then no promises. I will take her out with the swing of my axe .. ya' hear?
