My boat's been rocked .. and it's been rocked good. After comin' off such a high of gettin' rid of Aras, I'm now in a new low .. of bein' on a swapped tribe. We all knew it was comin' last round or the round after and what do you know - here it is. When the tribes were randomized, the majority of my allies ended up on Chorizo and Sandra and I got the bad end of the stick .. she ended up with Chase/Shawna/Amber on Salchicha and I swapped with Mike of all people, to end up with Bobby Jon .. of all people.
Ya'll are really testin' my patience with this one. When I saw Bobby Jon, I could just see the smirk on his face because he knew he had me. He knew I was gonna' need him. It kind of make me want to throw up .. y'know that feeling in your stomach where it gets all tight and you feel like you can't breathe? That's what I felt. I was wishin' his head was a coconut so I could put my axe to good use. But unfortunately, it's not that.
The upside to this is that Matt, Sydney, and Jay are safe. Those are three allies I won't have to worry about 'cause I know they got things under control on Chorizo. However, Sandra? The poor girl is probably gonna' be the one of us that pays for the ousting of Aras. I'm sure Aras made it clear to Chase that Sandra was a big role in his demise .. there is some truth to that. However, Sandra was the only one who was really vocal about her dislike for him .. and that might just cost her this entire game.

Getting on Bayonaca meant that I was gonna' have to do some work to really get myself in a good spot. I immediately spoke to Mike. Now, Mike and I never really spoke on Salchicha, but luckily, we had a really good chat right before the swap this morning. I think that talk really helped my stance with him and hopefully he'll stick by me while we're over here. I also got to talkin' to Tom. I know Tom wasn't exactly a favorite on his old tribe, but I know he's got the idol. He's got that, he's got me.
I'm definitely aligning with him.
Now that Mike, Tom, and I had somethin' goin' .. I figured okay, let me play to Bobby Jon. I started to tell BJ that he was all I had and that I needed him. Which in a sense .. is the truth, y'know? But I definitely made it seem like he had all the power in the conversation. I got a good laugh when he told me, "I got you into an alliance!" .. and it was the one I was already in and heard of: myself, Mike, Tom, Semhar, and then him.
So now that there is seemingly an alliance of 5 on the tribe already, that leaves both Savage and Penner out of the loop .. two people who were apparently big players when tribes were how they were last round. It always feels good to get out strong players .. I know I felt amazing when we took out Aras. I was sad that it had to be done 'cause his heart was definitely in it, but he couldn't stay for many reasons, one being that he wasn't as loyal to the 5 in the long run as he let on. We all know that.

The challenge went underway and the goal was to run around this thing and catch the other tribe. I'm a pretty good runner so I knew I would be able to carry my weight in the challenge. There were some people who were strugglin' here and there and then there as one person who didn't even bother showin' up: Penner. What is that guy's problem?
What made matters worse was that he came onto the board halfway through the challenge, changed his name to invisible, and never even signed onto greet any of us or do anything for the challenge.
I honestly don't know if he's super confident that he's stayin', if he has an idol or somethin' in his pocket, but that was some real unusual behavior. Regardless, we all kept tryin'. Salchicha was out first, and then sadly, we ended up losin' shortly after. Chorizo was safe which meant there's a good shot Sandra is goin' home and there's a chance for somethin' crazy to happen on Bayonaca. I'm really dreadin' this Tribal Council.

Shoot me, shoot me, shoot me. Two fights and how many more to go since we've swapped? I don't think it's even possible to count. Bobby Jon and I are at it again. I don't know how I'm goin' to deal with the personal aspect of our once relationship and then to also deal with the stress of this game. I'm goin' to go insane. Do you people not know I have an axe here? I'm gonna' get all Lizzie Borden on him. I'm goin' crazy .. help me.
The upside to this is that everyone seems to be okay with a Penner boot this round, just for the reason that he didn't show up. I've spoken in depth about it to Semhar and we both agree it's most fair for him to go. Bobby Jon is on board with it and last night during the challenge, Tom was all nods and smiles about him going too. I don't know why, but I got the feeling that Savage didn't really like the idea .. so we'll see what he does when it comes to the vote. I'm hopin' he just votes with the rest of us.
I won't ever feel completely safe on this tribe, because I had it really nice on Salchicha; probably nicer than anyone else will ever have it. I had four people I came to trust so much and knew wouldn't turn on me. But now, it's gone. If I can get through this vote and with the outcome of Penner goin' .. then I'll come to trust these folks more. That's all it's about right now .. earning the trust and learning to trust your new tribemates.

What are your plans with Bobby Jon? Do you see him turning on you, or would you get to him first? My plan is to stay loyal to him for now. I can't see him turning on me at the moment for many reasons and I have no plans to turn on him either. However, if the opportunity rises and I find out that he is indeed gunnin' for me, then I'll make sure to take him out before he can me. The fact of the matter is, is that while he's on in the mornings, not much of the cast is. He has to log off at a certain time for work, which means my social game surpasses his since I'm able to speak to the tribe at night, which are the crucial moments for activity. So if I did want to take him out, I'd maybe have a better chance of doing it than he would to me. Even through all the fighting and bickering, we still always bounce back to the start and things seem fine again. I think it'll always be like that. I would never personally gun for him unless I knew he was wantin' me out. When he and I fight, he likes to throw out the, "next round .. you or me! One of us is going, I don't care who it is!" I never really buy it, but I can tell he gets stressed out easily. I think he's nervous that I'll backstab him in this game because I have the reputation to backstab the people that are least expectin' it and in a way that can be malicious. I'm tryin' not to be that way in this game. Even with the Aras vote, I spoke to him after he was ousted and told him why he was voted out, while the majority of the others ignored him. I'd want people to tell me why aswell. |
