After what felt like nothing happening for about a week, I was thrilled to see that Sandra beat Amber in the tiebreaker to get numbers on the new Salchicha Tribe with her, Misty, Steph, and Tom being up 4-3. It was quite shocking because, despite practicing, Sandra experienced a problematic computer and board problems that resulted in what I felt like was a really slow time - 12 minutes versus what could have been done in less than 5. Amber, however, had much greater problems apparently. So with Amber going, this meant all of the people who I cared about were safe in majority alliances on all three tribes.
With the start of the challenge came a twist. The losing tribe would be dissolved and placed into the two remaining tribes. With this announcement, I wanted my tribe to remain even though I felt like I could jump into the majority alliance on either of the other tribes. But within my tribe, I had so much control and wanted to keep it that way. Both Chelsea and Sandra wanted their tribes to be dissolved with them being added into ours. Basically I felt closer to Chelsea than Sandra and think the rest of the tribe did as well, so we wanted to make sure that her tribe lost so that she could be picked. Literally everyone one our team would've picked her first as captain. Which is evidence that she's playing a really strong game.
My Chorizo Tribe eliminated Bayonaca and then proceded to eliminate Salchicha, leaving Sandra as the captain. For our captain, we rolled a dice in a chatroom and Stephanie Valencia won. So, she picked Chelsea since everyone wanted her and picked Savage for her second choice to bring her some familiarity from her original tribe. This left Sandra with 4 players from original Chorizo as opposed to her former group of 4 plus Tom. Mike would be the swing vote there since no one knew where his loyalty stood although he had worked with Chelsea at Bayonaca. Sandra was not happy about Chelsea wanting to be safe here at new Chorizo with all her original allies and complained about it.
So those 9 would be sent to deal with tribal council where I had the opportunity to get used to my new tribe. To be honest, we just got Chelsea, who was one of my closest allies, and Savage is never on to talk to. The one time we tried, it died almost immediately. So my tribe doesn't really feel any different. It's just a little larger with a little more unpredictability which leads to slightly less control by me. But I still have a lot working in my favor.
