ETA: Candice Woodcock - Root for ALICIA? Why? Because she's a terrible human being who insults minorities and has no game other than riding Kim's coattails?  She's a minority herself and clearly just didn't like Christina because she sucks. She obviously doesn't care about her race, relax. And I wouldn't say she's riding Kim's coattails, Chelsea is. Alicia's more just looking out for herself, which is much more respectable. She's also implied some pretty nasty stuff about how little respect she has for her students. As someone who's worked extensively with special needs children, I find her pretty freakin' disgusting. And, how on earth is Alicia looking out for herself? Every opportunity she's been offered, she's turned down. To me, that's riding coattails. Albert had a crapload of opportunities to switch, too, and he looked out for himself. Got him to the finals, even. But that doesn't mean he had game. |

And your entire first paragraph isn't something that I've never noticed at all. I think it's pretty disrespectful to imply that she's a horrible human being from watching her on a television show.

She isn't destined for finals...or wasn't until last episode probably.
I think for the longest time she was bottom of the totem pole, now things switched. You get lucky with stuff like that.

Why switch to where you won't make the finals from a point where you have a great shot at making the finals. Because getting to the finals is pointless if you can't win. Personally, I'm the type of person who'd rather go out of the game having tried to make a move than ride coattails to the end and embarrass myself at the final TC, but that's just me. Besides, she actually stood a pretty decent shot at going to the finals with Troyzan's group the round that Leif left. Ditch Kim at nine, ditch Troyzan whenever he doesn't win Immunity again, then you've got Christina, Leif, and Tarzan in your pocket, giving you four against three going into the final seven. Pick off Sabrina, Chelsea, and Kat, then ditch either Christina or Leif at the final four. Bam, you're in the finals with two people who couldn't socialize their way out of a paper bag, and unless the jury are as bitter as three-year-olds (and given this cast, I seriously, seriously doubt it), you have a million dollars. You're right; it's very disrespectful. I totally reserve the right to disrespect people that behave the way she does. I also don't respect Colton, or NaOnka, or several people that I know online and in real life, for the same reason. Respect for other people is like affection: you don't show it, you don't get it. Now, it's entirely possible that when the cameras are off, Alicia is a sweet and wonderful person. Doesn't change the fact that Alicia is the kind of person who will say and do the kinds of things she says and does when the camera is on. In fact, if she isn't actually like that in real life, then that's almost worse, because that just shows that she'll do and say anything if it gets her more attention. Fact of the matter is, I don't find any logical reason to say that she isn't a terrible human being, and the "you only see what the editors show you" excuse doesn't really cut it. Either she's a famewhore or she's a bonafide sociopath, and I have very little respect for either. |

From a fan point of view, I hope Alicia is not in the finals. I'm still cheering for a Kim/Chelsea/Sabrina final 3. <3

I really don't consider her a coattail rider. Chelsea is the only person who's blatantly using another person to make all the moves in order to advance further in the game. I don't think Alicia is some mastermind, but she likely has Tarzan in her pocket and is basically playing her own game. She doesn't do much based on Kim.
And being completely honest, I think that she is immature, I think she has her nasty moments, but she's nearly not as unlikable as Colton or NaOnka and she actually seems like she'd be a fun person to be around. But that's just me.
