Holy jeebus. You
would post a picture like that to ‘cause a distraction! Grr! But yeah. I actually don’t think pre-existing relationships played
AS huge role in my game as others, personally, seeing as two of the bigger ones were going to gun for me later on .. /coughs. But, I do think that the beginning of the game had a lot to do with pre-existing relationships, such as the very start with Captain’s Challenge, for example, which basically allowed people to get who they wanted or who they knew on their tribe. Now, if there had been no one I knew in the game, I still would have fared well. I know first hand that if I need to have a strong social game and really get things going for myself – I can do it. I’ve demonstrated that I can have a social game, I have a way with words, and I always find a way to connect with someone in a conversation to really make myself appear likeable to them; for them to want to get to know me, to want to keep me around, to want to work with me. That’s my game. That’s always been my game. Every game I have ever played has mirrored that exact same strategy. It works for me.
I mentioned in Chase’s answer that had I not known anyone in this game, I would have more than definitely pursued that working relationship with him further. Chase was one of the people I spoke to at the start, and we liked eachother. Yes, there was some flirting here and there, but that’s just one of the aspect’s of my social game. Depending on the person, who it is, what they like, I morph myself into being that person they wanna’ talk to. I don’t want that to be misconstrued as playing fake, but instead it’s like I find something they like, that I also like, and it becomes the focus. I try to appeal to everyone based on their preferences, if that makes sense. If I had worked with Chase, that would have ultimately brought me into the Chorizo group, which is basically all people I didn’t know: Amber, Shawna, etc. Without the pre-existing relationships in the game, it would have more than likely played out different, but I honestly think that I would have fared well. I have confidence in my game that I would have been able to overcome it. It would have been more difficult, of ‘course [that goes without saying] but I think I could have still done well.
District 1 ~ In District 1, the tributes were Marvel and Glimmer. I believe that Marvel would be Mike, and Glimmer would be Semhar. Both of them were solid players in their own right, but like the rest of their alliance, they fell short of the victory. Mike fits well with Marvel, because Marvel was definitely the sneaky kind of player. Mike’s move in flipping to the Power Ranger’s on us showed that he had an evil side to him, which Marvel possessed. I believe that Semhar best represents Glimmer because she was a loyal part of the Careers alliance and was a strong player regardless of the fact that she ended up dying because of misfortune.
District 2 ~ In District 2, the tributes were Cato and Clove. I believe that Cato is Chase and Clove is Shawna. Now, my reasoning for this. Chase was perceived at the leader of Chorizo and the leader of the Power Rangers alliance. Cato in both the books and the movie, was the leader of the Careers. Chase would play the role of Cato perfectly, as he was the biggest opposition to District 12. The reason I picked Shawna for the role of Clove is because Clove was the one person in the novel that came the closest to actually killing Katniss. Shawna was the strongest physically and had the closest chance after Chase left in defeating those in District 12.
District 4 ~ In District 4, the male tribute was unnamed. However, District 4 was known to produce the better looking of people in the novel. I have decided to put Jay in this district, because let’s face it .. going off that picture he listed in his questions, we all know who the hottest male castaway was this season. In the novel, the unnamed boy from District 4 dies at the cornucopia bloodbath, and in a way, the last minute change to vote Jay out by people he perceived to be his allies, could be a bloodbath in its own right. He got votes, none of which he expected, but many votes as a whole.
District 5 ~ In District 5, the female tribute was Foxface. I feel that Stephanie was Foxface entirely. Foxface was both clever, and one of the last to die. She managed to escape the other tributes constantly and too quick to catch. Ultimately, her demise came in the form of a poor decision to eat poisonous berries, much like Stephanie’s decision to be openly friendly with the people exiting the game. She was perceived as being too clever for her own good, and whether it was the case or not, she appeared to the others as working Jury votes in the event that she made the end of the game. Like Foxface, Stephanie was a lone solider, and she made due with what she had for her in the game, whether it was slim to none.
District 6 ~ In District 6, the tributes were both unnamed, but both were mentioned to have protected District 12. District 6 specialized in transportation. In the sense, I think that both Mick and Matt would be the tributes from District 6. Mick protected Sydney, and Matt protected me. Both of them were a form of protective transport to the finale, as they were great helps in both my game and Sydney’s game. While they didn’t last long in the book, they still were two people that aided the winning District the best they could before becoming deceased. I think that this district fits both Mick and Matt for those two reasons entirely.
District 8 ~ In District 8, the tributes were unnamed, but both were finished off early in the first novel of the Hunger Game series. I would stick both Mike and Savage in this district. One of the tributes from this district was killed early in the bloodbath at the cornucopia. They were collateral damage in the war for survival, much like Savage became. He was collateral damage, and was no longer in a safe position because of Stephanie being voted out of the game. Stephanie was someone who had shielded him and kept him safe. The other tribute eventually died during the first night, was attacked by the Careers but then ultimately killed by Peeta, much like Sydney no longer needing Mike, so she took him out.
District 9 ~ In District 9, the male tribute was unnamed. However, his role in the first novel came about at the start. Both he and Katniss had run for the same medical backpack in the cornucopia, and struggled over it, but he was knifed in the back by another player, allowing Katniss to run free. I believe that this male tribute represents Sandra. Sandra and I struggled with eachother a lot in this game, and definitely near the end. I feel that this best depicts us as far as the tributes go. The tribute that would ultimately would stab Sandra in the back would be Sydney, after giving her life at the Final 6, but then taking her out the round after, allowing myself, Chelsea, to then make my way into the finals.
District 11 ~ In District 11, the male tribute was Thresh. I am casting Sekou for the role of Thresh. I don’t really know why. Mainly because both are big, hulking chocolate men. Now only that, but Thresh was a little psychotic, and I believe that Sekou was the same way. In the film, Thresh didn’t have many lines, and just like this game, Sekou didn’t have many either. I think that had Sekou been put in the Hunger Games, he would have been just as violent in the game, also while being some sort of comic relief. While he wasn’t a big part of Sausage Island, he still was known to be apart of the game. He was still a character and was never one to be forgotten, just like Thresh was. Both would be unforgettable; good or bad.
District 12 ~ In District 12, the tributes were Katniss and Peeta. They were the best overall players based by who was left in the game. To parallel The Hunger Games to Sausage Island, I believe that would indicate that Katniss and Peeta are myself and Sydney. Sydney and I played the best games, albeit different in some ways and with different roads to travel on to get there. It’s a shame that like the 74th Hunger Games, both she and I can’t both win the competition, because I do believe that we both deserve it. We had the most control during the game, had different people working with and for us, but had one same goal, and that was to make sure we both made it to the end of this game.
